Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback singer, actress and musician. The majority of her work comes focused on Tamil or Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum Malayalam film made her Malayalam acting debut. Andrea Jeremiah has been raised in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian home. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. She also has a younger sister, currently employed as a research assistant in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was born near Chennai, went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea started studying classical piano when she was eight. She was an avid geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. She was part of the Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars at age 10. It was this group that shaped her singing and music composition career. She was a stage artist at her college and was a part of in several plays produced in the form of The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her acting career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's new leo Coffee advertisement was with Shiva. She also acted in the Podhigai Channel on a TV serial. The actress has performed across India. She appeared in a small role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Gautham Vaisudev Menon, who performed in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was requested her to play in the role of a female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea portraying Kalyani who is a housewife her husband who is caught in an affair and is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was chosen for the part following Simran and Tabu were two actors who were approached by producers. The film was released in early 2010. It was announced in the early part of 2010. to have a supporting role as Venkat Prabhu, who starred in Mankatha. The film came out on the 11th of August in 2011. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, that was released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
